Chronology of cameras Astre

The Chambre Noire Folding modèle K is a compact wooden camera ("chambre coffret") made of varnished walnut. It does not offer the same range of formats as modèle I.

It is available in the following sizes: 9 x 12 (No. 537), 11 x 15 (No. 538), and 13 x 18 (No. 539), and can be crafted from varnished walnut or varnished mahogany (No. 540, 542, and 543).

Its compact design allows it to be folded with the lens and shutter mounted due to its reduced thickness.
